Forest Cake
1 Box Duncan Hines Chocolate Cake
Mix
1 Can Cherry Pie Filling
1 Container Cool Whip
10 Merichero Cherries
8 oz Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar, chopped
finely
Bake 2 8" cakes according to
package directions. Cool completely.
Carefully slice each cake into 2,
creating 4 slabs of cake total. Spread
1/3 of the cherry filling on the first
layer of cake, top with the next cake
layer, followed by 1/3 more cherry
filling, cake, the rest of the cherry,
and the final layer of cake.
Once the cake is assembled, spread
the entire outside with whipped topping.
Use the chopped chocolate and cherries
to decorate the outside and top of
cake.
For best results, let cake sit, refrigerated,
for 2-4 hours for flavors to blend.
